Ancop US and CGG medical mission in Aklan

Ancop USA, in coordination with the Comfac Global Group, Boracay West Cove and the Aklan provincial government, recently conducted a 3-day medical mission in Aklan, in the towns of Banga, Madalag and in Boracay island on Feb 8-10, 2018. The medical mission served more than 2,000 patients with free medical, dental and surgical services, plus free medicines. Ancop USA is one of the partners of CGG in its CSR programs. Corpcomm manager Jose Ramo joined the medical team in Aklan as volunteer from CGG.  

Comfac Global Group kicks off 2018 CSR activities with gift-giving to indigent scholars

The Comfac Global Group recently celebrated the 6th year anniversary of the Little Haus Dalahican Community Center with gift-giving program to its indigent scholars. This annual activity kicked off the 2018 CSR programs of CGG for its indigent scholars currently enrolled in the public schools in Dalahican and Lucena City. Included in this gift-giving were 26 Badjao scholars enrolled in the elementary grades. The CGG volunteers likewise distributed gifts to Badjao kids who are not part of its scholarship program. The Badjao kids are part of a small community of Badjao families from Mindanao who have now settled in Dalahican.

Comfac Global Group inaugurates its new Cebu building, opens plug-and play facility for BPOs or call centers

The Comfac Global Group recently inaugurated its new Cebu building followed with appreciation dinner for valued clients and business partners. The new 3-storey building located along the busy F. Cabahug Street in Mabolo, Cebu, very near the Ayala Center Cebu, has the new showroom at the 3rd floor and a Plug-and-Play facility on the second floor. The Plug-and-Play facility is an dieal location for start-ups of expanding BPOs or call center companies, and can accommodate at least 100 Workstations. The second floor facility is complete with a conference room, meeting rooms, a break-out area and a lounge. The data server room at the third floor can host the technology requirements for the client. The inauguration event also celebrated the 28-year anniversary of Comfac Cebu, which started its Cebu operations in October 1989.

CGG conducts Mentoring Program for indigent scholars

The Comfac Global Group recently hosted at its Makati corporate office the annual Mentoring Program Year 4 for its 28 indigent scholars from Dalahican and Talao-talao in Lucena City.   The whole day Mentoring Program brought together CGG employee volunteers and scholars for a one-on-one counseling program, where employee volunteers help the kids acquire better values and improve personal character, and guide them to excel in school and in their communities.   After the Mentoring Program, the scholars were treated to a three hour tour at the Museo Pambata, capped by a Jolibee party hosted by our youngest volunteer Amanda Nicol.  

Cornersteel manufacturing facilities installed with solar panels

Cornersteel recently marked a milestone in its operations with the installation of solar panels for its manufacturing facilities in Cabuyao, Laguna.   Installed at the rooftop of Cornertsteel’s manufacturing facilities are 385 units of solar panels to convert abundant sunlight into usable electricity for its daily manufacturing operations. The system turns on automatically at sunrise and turns off automatically at sunset. The power generated by the solar panels is direct current and is wired straight to the inverter.   The solar panel installation is part of the company’s energy savings program and fully operational last December 2015.  

CGG conducts mentoring program for indigent scholars

Volunteer mentors from the Comfac Global Group recently conducted a mentoring program for the indigent but talented scholars of the Payatas Orione Foundation in Dalahican and Tala-talao, in Lucena City. The mentoring program for elementary, high school and college students is a yearly program of the Comfac Global Group.   The mentoring program aims to provide young students a role model who can guide and mentor them in developing innate skills and talents to become productive in school as well as in the community. By providing guidance and acceptance, the adult mentors help develop positive and supportive relationships to young students.   The mentoring program coincided with the distribution of school supplies and hygiene kits donated by the CGG employees.  

CGG brings cheers to indigent scholars of Dalahican

    On the occasion of the third anniversary of the Little Dalahican Community Center, the Comfac Global Group brought cheers and gifts to the more than 200 indigent scholars of Dalahican and Talao-talo, as well as the Badjao community, in Dalahican,LucenaCity.     The gift-giving, complete with Santa Claus in the person of Wolf Lutz, was attended by the officers and selected staff of the Comfac Global Group. The gift-giving was done in partnership with the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) and TeamAsia. Highlight of the event was the visit to the Badjao community where more than 80 Badjao children received gifts and various school supplies.   The gift-giving to the indigent scholars is an annual event of the Comfac Global Group.  

ESCO sponsors Dalahican and talao-talao Youth Sportsfest

The Energy Specialist Company or ESCO recently sponsored the 2104 Dalahican and Talao-talao Youth Sportsfest held last October 18, 2014 in Dalahican, Lucena City. The annual sports event with more than 200 scholar participants from the Payatas Orione Foundation (PAOFI) was organized by ESCO and PAOFI executive director  Fr. Martin Mroz, with ANCOP and TE Systems as co-sponsors. Sports events include sprint games, basketball, volleyball, badminton, chess and fun games plus a cheering competition. Highlight of this year’s sports festival was the launching of the soccer program for boys under 12 years old. ESCO management and staff traveled all the way to Lucena City to act as volunteer coaches, marshals and referees.

Comfac Global Group conducts mentoring program for Dalahican scholars

The Comfac Global Group recently conducted a mentoring program for the elementary and high school scholars in Dalahican, Lucena City.   The mentoring program, dubbed the CGG Foster Parenthood Program, aims to provide moral and spiritual support to the 35 CGG scholars with ages ranging from nine to 16 years old and enrolled in the public elementary and high schools in Lucena City. The mentoring program hopes to provide additional support system to develop the skills and values of scholars and improve scholastic records for them to excel from elementary up to the time they graduate from college.   The volunteer mentors from CGG consisted of senior managers and other employees, and received mentoring guidelines before they were allowed to handle counseling sessions with the scholars.   The mentoring program culminated with the giving of school supplies to the CGG scholars.

Comfac host CIO Forum

Comfac Corporation recently hosted the Comfac CIO Forum attended by CIO executives held at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati City. The event was sponsored by Emerson Network Power.   The Comfac CIO Forum explored new technologies and applications on Data Center Infrastructure Management, with the theme “State of the Data Center: Future-proofing your Critical Infrastructure and Applications”.  The forum discussed emerging technologies and trends in data center and its impact on IT planning and management, as well as best practices in data center infrastructure management.   The Comfac CIO Forum will be made an annual event in partnership with selected business partners of the Comfac Global Group.
