Comfac Joins PSECE Exhibit and Convention

The Comfac Global Group recently participated in the Philippine Semiconductor and Electronics Convention and Exhibition (PSECE) held at the SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia.

The event was organized by the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines (SEIPI) and featured more than 450 exhibitors and a three day convention featuring a wide array of topics on manufacturing trends and technologies featuring industry experts.

Comfac showcased its wide products and services like Emerson UPS, Panduit structured cabling, modular furniture, raised floor, LED lights, security systems, and appxys. Comfac likewise hosted a standing room-only seminar on Emerson UPS, appxys and LED lights at the Area B of the SMX Convention Center. The featured speakers were Oscar Ruivivar of Comfac and Jerome Tupil, senior technical support manager for Asia Pacific of Emerson Network Power. Emerson donated raffle items given out to lucky seminar attendees.

SEIPI is the leading and largest organization of foreign and local semiconductor and electronics companies in the Philippipines.

Modern Pasig City Hall Inaugurated

As a testament of Pasig City Mayor Robert C. Eusebio’s commitment to continuously innovate and improve the delivery of basic services to Pasiguenos, the city government of Pasig recently inaugurated its modern Pasig City Hall. The refurbished and modernized city hall aims to streamline the different offices and departments with emphasis on ease of access and convenience for the public that they serve.

The new city hall floors were redesigned to maximize space to allow public servants to quickly facilitate requests and transactions while providing large open areas where the public can rest and wait in comfort assisted by courteous and ready-to-serve ushers. A new scenic elevator providing a panoramic view of the City Hall Complex overlooking the Pasig Mini Park, the Hall of Justice and the Tanghalang Pasigueno connect all floors. The highlight of the inauguration was the blessing of the new Pasig City Hall Communication, Command and Control Center (C3) which demonstrated its capability to remotely monitor and coordinate disaster response and rescue operations using state-of-the-art technology that provides real-time video streams transmitted from the field directly to the command center. With 165 CCTV cameras installed in critical areas in and around Pasig City and supported by BCEO Mobile Command Vans with CCTV cameras and radio link, Pasig C3 is and will be on top of any situation to provide Mayor Bobby with up to date assessments and actionable information.

The new city hall was designed by Architect Jeff Isidro. The Comfac Global Group was tasked to turn the design into a reality, working on this fit-out for all floors, including the design and renovation of the Communication, Command and Control Center. The Comfac Global Group is currently working on the expansion of the City Hall.

New Comfac Global Group Mission & Vision Launched

The Comfac Global Group recently unveiled its new corporate mission, vision and core values to the employees in all CGG offices nationwide.

The launch of the new mission, vision and core values kicked off the activities for the year, and was launched in the CGG corporate offices in Makati, Mandaluyong, Cabuyao, Cebu, Davao and Cagayan de Oro. Comfac Global Group COO Ramon Quilloy Jr. unveiled the new mission, vision and core values while CGG chairman of the board Jaime B. Aquino delivered the inspirational message.

With the new mission, vision, and the ten core values, the CGG management hopes to inspire and motivate all its employees to work towards effective corporate governance while at the same time achieve the corporate objectives. The launch will be supported by year-round activities to create awareness and at the same time recognized employees who best exemplify the core values of the Comfac Global Group.

CGG Inaugurates Little Haus Dalahican Community Center

As part of its involvement in community development, the Comfac Global Group kicked off the year 2012 by recently donating the Little Haus Dalahican Community Center in Barangay Dalahican, Lucena City.

The Little Haus Dalahican Community Center was turned over to the Little Work of Divine Providence Congregation headed by missionary priest Fr. Martin Mroz. The Little Haus will be used by the congregation for pastoral works and social and community development programs like feeding and reading as well as dental and medical missions. Officers of the Comfac Global Group attended the inauguration rites headed by its chairman Jaime B. Aquino and COO Ramon Quilloy Jr. with special guests Ms. Tessie Hatta and Ms. Nanette Flugger.

The Little Haus Dalahican Community Center is a 300 sq meter residential house renovated to fit pastoral and social activities. The Little Haus is beside the San Rafael chapel which was renovated by the Comfac Global Group in 2011.

A special mass for CGG was celebrated by Fr. Martin Mroz and Fr. Stefan Bulai, followed by gift giving to more than 120 elementary and high school students living in the area.

CGG donates to Cagayan de Oro flood victims

The Comfac Global Group recently conducted a fund raising drive among its employees to raise cash money and relief goods for the Typhoon Sendong victims in Cagayan de Oro.

The cash donation and relief goods from employees and management were turned over to the Comfac Global Group Cagayan de Oro branch headed by Ms. Rechie Bok. The relief goods of mats, blankets, underwear, old clothes and food stuff were immediately distributed by the CGG-CDO staff to the flood victims before the holidays while 84 families whose homes were totally washed out were selected to receive P1,000 cash donations. The cash donations were meant to help the affected families buy materials to build new homes.

The fund raising for Typhoon Sendong victims were simultaneously conducted in all CGG offices in Makati, Mandaluyong and Cabuyao including branches in Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Davao and General Santos cities.

Comfac Global Group Holds Teamspirit Sportsfest 2011

The TeamSpirit sports festival had 6 participating teams composed of CGG employees from three locations: CGG Makati and the Comfac Technology Center in Mandaluyong. The sports festival covered track events and fun or teambuilding games, and included special events like cheering and team muse competitions.

Declared overall winner was the Green Minded Team headed by Evelyn del Socorro, Kervin Lao, Frederick Deniega and Marlon Aquino while Nina Zotea Diaz was chosen as the muse of the 2011 TeamSpirit sports festival.,/p>

Comfac Global Group Conducts Roadshow-Seminar in Visayas and Mindanao

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Comfac Corporation and the 20th anniversary of Cornersteel Systems Corporation, the Comfac Global Group recently conducted a roadshow seminar and exhibit in Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Davao.

The roadshow seminar with the theme “What makes a Workplace Work” presented timely topics on structured cabling, security systems, network connectivity and LED light efficiency and presented by Comfac Global Group’s business partners from Panduit, Cisco, Calvelo Engineered Systems and Flash Tec Marketing. The seminar was complemented with an exhibition on the wide range of products and services of the Comfac Global Group.

The culminating activity of the roadshow seminar and exhibition was an appreciation dinner for valued clients and business partners. This regional event was attended by CGG officers led by its new COO Ramon Quilloy, with Juliet Capala, Oscar Ruivivar and Jose Ramo.
